Isabel Adolf
Candidate for a Master of the Arts in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute
B.A. in Art History and Psychology from The George Washington University
Isabel’s pursuit of art history began with constant exposure to art from a young age, which shaped both her perspective and ambitions early on. She formalized that interest in high school and went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Art History. Eager to gain practical experience, she immersed herself in art appraisal, training under the tutelage of a D.C.-based appraisal firm. This hands-on introduction to valuation and market analysis deepened her understanding of the art world beyond academia and solidified her interest in the business side of the industry, leading her to further study at Sotheby’s Institute of Art.
Her passion for art is closely tied to her experience in the luxury market. From equine ownership and sales with Atlas Equine LLC to curating a rare and vintage watch collection, she developed a nuanced understanding of connoisseurship, client relations, and asset value. The intersection of these experiences naturally led her to pursue a Master’s in Art Business at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, where she continues to refine her expertise in collection building and management.
